Build Your Skills With Kids Karate

At USA Professional Karate Studio, we have served thousands of children in the greater Pittsburgh area for more than 35 years with valuable life skills through our Kids Karate Classes. We have an extensive and most exclusive program designed for each age group beginning at age four. In addition to self-defense training, students of all ages develop lifelong skills including: respect, discipline, confidence, integrity, improved focus, and more!

Tigers (Ages 4-5)

Our Tigers program is not curriculum based but themes based, including very simple reinforcement homework every week with coloring and simple, fun exercises. Our monthly themes include life skills, safety skills, and of course, karate basic skills. Don't worry if the children don't do exactly what the instructor is presenting. Students at this age are learning about life and karate, so we break up self-control-activities with periods of fast, fun activities that will get the silliness out every few minutes! Parents are impressed with their child's quick learning of respect, manners, focus, and a love for learning.

Learn How To Protect Yourself With Adult Karate Training

Learn karate for self-defense, physical fitness, and character training in a fun, positive and motivating atmosphere with our Adult Karate Classes at USA Professional Karate Studio. Designed for students 13 years and older, these classes are perfect for all martial arts experience levels. You will learn how to effectively protect yourself with strategies that work in real life confrontations. Class instruction covers how to stand, how to talk down or de-escalate a situation, and if necessary, how to defend against an actual attack or immediate threat using: Blocks, Strikes & Kicks; Fighting Combo's & Fighting Strategy; Weapons Training & Defense; Grappling Defense.

Karate

Includes learning Kata, which is a prearranged series of punches, block, and kicks put together as if fighting imaginary opponents. Kata develops memory, mind and body coordination, concentration and fitness while giving the student a forum to perform, either individually or in a group, with creativity, expressiveness, personal style, power, and grace.
